About Our Heavy Duty Towing —
What Heavy Duty Actually Means
Heavy duty towing is not a bigger version of a regular tow truck call. It is a completely different category of operation — requiring specialized equipment rated for 26,000 lbs and above, operators experienced in heavy duty towing, and a dispatch team that understands commercial trucking, cargo liability, and the urgency that’s required.
— Commercial Truck Towing
01
TRUCKS WE TRANSPORT
Our heavy duty division handles the full range of large commercial vehicles: Class 7 and Class 8 semi trucks, tractor-trailers both loaded and empty, dump trucks, cement mixers, garbage trucks, charter and transit buses, construction equipment, and any commercial vehicle that exceeds the capacity of a standard wrecker. If the rig is too big for a conventional tow truck, we are who gets called.
— Heavy Duty Accident Recovery
02
Why Equipment Selection Is Everything
The difference between a clean recovery and a catastrophic one — for the vehicle, the cargo, and the highway — comes down to whether the right equipment was deployed. An under-rated tow truck attempting a heavy recovery is one of the most dangerous scenarios in the industry. Our operators will never attempt a recovery with equipment that isn’t rated for it. That means your freight stays intact, the truck doesn’t sustain secondary damage, and our crew goes home unscathed.
For most road tractor tows, we use a heavy wrecker with a wheel lift. For recoveries, we use a rotator with a full 360 degrees of maneuverability. Allowing us to lift from any angle — for rollovers, embankment recoveries, and vehicles in confined spaces. The right equipment is dispatched based on what your situation actually requires, not what happens to be closest.
— Tractor-Trailer Towing
03
Towing A Loaded Trailer
Towing a loaded trailer is fundamentally different from towing an empty one. Weight distribution, axle ratings, and cargo shifting during transport all have to be accounted for before the tow can commence. Our operators are experienced in towing loaded trailers across all cargo types — dry van, flatbed freight, refrigerated loads, and tanker configurations. We can coordinate with your carrier, your shipper, and your insurance adjuster to document the load condition before and after recovery.
— We Help Reduce Downtime
04
Minimizing Downtime for Fleet Operators
For carriers and fleet managers, every hour a truck is out of service is costing you money. Our heavy dispatch team understands that and operates accordingly. We give you a realistic timeline, keep you updated throughout the tow or accident recovery, and work to have your equipment rolling or delivered to your preferred facility as fast as the situation safely allows. We are not in the business of extended yard storage — we are in the business of getting your truck back in service.
Types of Heavy Towing —
The Right Truck.
For Every Situation.
01
Semi Truck Towing
Broken down on the side of the road with a loaded tractor-trailer? We understand that you’re not only dealing with potentially costly truck repairs, but you’re also concerned with time constraints. Loaded or bobtail, day cab or sleeper, we’ve got you covered with our quick response semi truck and tractor-trailer towing service.
02
Rotator Service
When your truck goes off the road or tips over, leaving you leaning hard, that’s when our rotator service comes in. These robust machines can reach angles and distances that nothing else can touch. And they’re what separates a clean recovery with no damage from a complicated one. We bring the rotator when the job needs it — not as a last resort.
03
Bus & Coach Towing
A busload of anxious passengers stranded on the side of the road needs a fast, professional response — not a wrecker driver who’s never towed a coach before. We have the right equipment for transit buses, charter coaches, RVs, and school buses, and we understand what’s at stake when people are waiting. Call us for all your heavy truck towing needs.
04
Rollover Recovery
Nobody wants to get that call — but when a truck goes over, somebody has to handle it right. We assess the situation first: what’s in the trailer, is it leaking, what’s the ground like, what angle are we working? Then we upright it the smart way. We don’t rush rollovers and neither should you.
05
Loaded Trailer Towing
Dry van, reefer, flatbed freight, tanker — we’ve moved them all loaded. We check the load before we move anything, document what we find, and get your freight headed in the right direction. Your shipper and dispatcher will appreciate the communication.
06
Dump Truck Towing
Dump trucks, end dumps, and tandem-axle haulers carry weight a standard wrecker can’t handle. Our operators know how to approach a loaded dump truck, how to work around a bed that won’t lower, and how to get your rig off the road without turning a breakdown into a damage claim. Construction hauling is hard on tires and harder on equipment — we know what you’re dealing with, and we move fast.
07
Equipment Transport Towing
A skid steer strapped to a step deck, a load of scaffolding, trestles, shoring forms — when the truck hauling that kind of freight breaks down, the load is still your responsibility. We don’t improvise on construction freight. We assess the load, confirm everything is secured, and move the truck and trailer together when that’s the right call. If you haul construction equipment, you need a towing company that understands what’s on the back — not just what’s in the cab.
08
Jackknife Recovery
A jackknifed combination blocking traffic on the interstate is stressful for everyone — the driver, law enforcement, the fleet manager, and every commuter sitting in a long line of traffic. We have the experience and expertise to quickly and safely to clear the scene, because getting traffic moving again matters to us too.
When The Job Is Too Big For A Standard Wrecker
Specialty Heavy Duty
Towing & Recovery
Some jobs need more than a standard wrecker can bring to the scene. Whether it’s a loaded tractor-trailer, an overturned dump truck, a jackknifed combination, a bus full of passengers, or a piece of construction equipment that needs to come off a job site — the right equipment and an experienced operator make all the difference. Our heavy duty tow truck operators not only know how to operate your equipment, but they also know how to approach, assess, and execute difficult recoveries that require more than a hook and a pull.

We Tow These —
Heavy Commercial
Vehicles We Handle
From semi trucks and tractor-trailers to dump trucks, tankers, cement mixers, buses, and construction equipment, heavy commercial towing is never one-size-fits-all. Every vehicle type comes with its own weight considerations, load conditions, and equipment requirements. Whether the job calls for an underlift, a rotator, a lowboy, or a specialized rigging setup, matching the right approach to the right vehicle is what keeps the job on track, the equipment intact, and your operation moving.
Tractor-Trailers
Full combinations — 48s and 53s, loaded or empty. We tow the whole rig, not just the tractor, and we know how to do it without creating a second problem.
Semi Trucks
Day cabs, sleepers, single-axle and tandem — we tow them all. Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Volvo, International — whatever’s on the road, we know it and can tow it.
Dump Trucks
Single-axle, tandem, tags & pups — if the bed is loaded, we account for that before we move it. No surprises, no shortcuts, no damage to your job site equipment.

Refrigerated Trailers
Reefer units need careful handling — your load’s temperature matters. We note the reefer status when we arrive and keep you and your crew informed so you’re not left wondering.

Tanker Trucks
Fuel tanker, water truck, or hauling chemicals — our tow truck operators know to ask the right questions before we hook to your tanker. Safety first, always. Then we get you moving.

Buses, Coaches & RVs
Transit buses, charter coaches, RVs, school buses — when your passengers are impatiently waiting on the side of the road, we move fast and bring the right equipment for the job.
How It Works —
Simple Process.
Serious Results.
Heavy duty towing doesn’t follow the same script every time. Every job has its own variables, its own risks, and its own right way to get done. What stays consistent is the process: we assess before we act, we communicate before we move, and we document everything from first hook to final delivery. Whether it’s a straightforward breakdown tow or a loaded trailer recovery in the median of an interstate, the steps don’t change — because cutting corners on a job this size is how small problems become expensive ones.
01
Call Us — Right Now
Dial 1-800-555-0192. A live dispatcher — not a recording, not an app — a live dispatcher answers immediately. Tell us where you are, what you’ve got going on, and what happened. That’s all we need to get a truck moving your way.
02
We Size Up the Job
We arrive and take a good look before anything gets hooked. What’s the situation, what’s in the trailer, what’s causing your truck to be inoperable? A few minutes of assessment can save hours of complications. We’d rather do it right than do it twice.
03
The Work Commences
Underlift for towing in most cases, lowboy or step deck for others, and a rotator for the tough jobs — whatever the situation needs is what we send your way. Your dispatcher or fleet manager stays informed throughout. No surprises on our end means no surprises on yours.
04
Delivered & Documented
Your truck gets to your shop, terminal, or facility of choice- on time and intact. You get an fully documented invoice — everything your insurance carrier and fleet records need, without having to chase anyone down for it.

COMMON QUESTIONS —
Heavy Duty FAQs
Light duty is cars, pickups, and SUVs. Heavy duty is everything else — semi trucks, 18-wheelers, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, buses, you name it. These are Class 6 through Class 8 vehicles, and they require completely different equipment, different training, and a different level of experience. If the rig is too big for a standard wrecker, that’s our lane.
Yep — we do it all the time. Dry van, flatbed, reefer, tanker — loaded or empty, we’ve moved them all. We look at the load before we touch anything, note what we find, and get your freight headed in the right direction. Your dispatcher and your insurance carrier will both get the documentation they need without you having to ask for it.
Carefully and methodically — there’s no other way to do it right. We look at the whole situation first: what’s in the trailer, is anything leaking, what’s the ground condition, what angles are we working? Then we determine if the job needs a rotator or if a couple of heavies can complete the job. From there, we rig it up properly, and upright the truck in a controlled fashion so that the procedure doesn’t exacerbate whatever structural damages may have occurred during the accident. And we photograph everything along the way. But we never rush a rollover recovery. Doing so is how you turn one problem into three — we don’t do that.
Tell us when you call — that’s the most helpful thing you can do. Our operators know how to read placards and respond accordingly. If there’s an active spill or leak, we stage safely and work alongside our hazmat response crew to ensure the area is secure. We don’t start the accident recovery until it’s safe to do so. We also help with the documentation, your incident report, and any regulatory filings you’re going to need.
Yes, and it’s easy to set up. Give us your information. Including your address, DOT number, your preferred facility list, and your driver authorization setup and we’ll get an account going. Invoices come fully detailed with everything your accounting team and insurance carrier need, already organized — no chasing anyone down for paperwork.
Not necessarily — it depends on the truck’s condition, the trailer configuration, and where it needs to go. In many cases we can tow a loaded combination without touching the freight at all. If the situation does require offloading first, we’ll tell you upfront and help coordinate the next steps. Either way, we’ll give you a straight answer before anyone makes a decision, so you can loop in your dispatcher or shipper with accurate information.
It won’t. We work with drivers from all backgrounds every day, and our dispatch team is experienced at working through communication barriers to get the job done. Have your driver stay with the truck, turn on the hazards, and call us. We’ll figure out the location and get someone rolling. If it helps to have a supervisor or dispatcher on a three-way call to translate, that works too — whatever gets your truck moving again fastest.
Absolutely. You tell us where you want it, and that’s where it goes — dealer, independent shop, your company terminal, or your own yard. We don’t have preferred shops and we don’t have any financial arrangement with repair facilities. If you’ve already called your dealer and they’re expecting the truck, just give us the address and we’ll coordinate arrival time with you so your service writer knows when to expect it.
